However, Tesla vehicles do not have a multi-speed transmission – instead, they use a single-speed transmission that moves power directly from the electric motor to the wheels, simplifying the drivetrain and reducing mechanical complexity. Because of this, traditional transmission upgrades such as swapping to a different gear ratio or upgrading to a dual-clutch transmission aren’t an option for Tesla vehicles. But does that mean that there’s no way to enhance the already impressive power and performance that a Tesla provides? Absolutely not.
